A position is available immediately for a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to join Jeongmin Song’s lab at Cornell University (www.jeongminsonglab.com). My research team seeks answers to fundamental biological questions aimed at better understanding of the pathogenic mechanism of the typhoid fever-causing Salmonella and the biology of bacterial AB toxins. Based on our basic research findings, in experimental animals, we also perform translational research aimed at improving current vaccines and therapeutic strategies against typhoid fever. The postdoctoral scientist will be supported by National Institutes of Health R01 awarded to the PI.
The successful candidate must have a PhD or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline, an excellent work ethic, and a strong background in biochemistry, glycobiology, bacteriology, chemistry, molecular biology, or cell biology.
