The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented scientist to join our interdisciplinary team in Philadelphia, PA. This position will play a critical role in generating and testing hypotheses on drug toxicity and efficacy tests in multiple cellular, pathological or genetic background. As an early member of the team, the candidate will work alongside founders and will be afforded the opportunity to make a broad impact on the future of the company.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

-Plan and conduct cell culture-based discovery/manipulation of noncoding biomarkers
-Participate in the generation of sequencing libraries
-Participate in the biological interpretation of data
-Participate in the production of biomarker panels
-Participate in grant writing and preparation of presentations to stakeholders
-Participate in journal clubs to stay current with respect to new and relevant technologies/discoveries
-Be attentive to detail in data recording and analysis
-Maintain well-organized lab notebooks following the company guidelines
-Present data and communicate effectively
-Work efficiently with external partners
-Work alongside senior leaders to deliver set milestones of the company

Candidate Qualifications:

– Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genomics, Systems Biology or a related discipline with ≥0 year of postdoc experience
-Must be proficient in conducting mammalian tissue culture, molecular cloning, RNA extraction, QPCR, electroporation, and standard molecular biology techniques
-Show aptitude for problem solving and decision making based on quantitative data
-Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
